Cant delete event

This app is alright. I like that its not too fussy. There is a function that allows you to delete an event (whether it has passed or maybe you just want it off the countdown), but every time I try to delete the event, the app crashes. How am I supposed to keep an organized list of events in my countdown if I cant delete past events?
